Liberty Building

Urban Visions acquired the Liberty Building in 2006. While the 1920s’-era building was in poor condition from a visual perspective, our team saw an incredible redevelopment opportunity which could help revitalize what is arguably Seattle’s most iconic neighborhoods, “Pike-Market”. One of the most iconic retailers in the world, the Hard Rock Café, also saw this opportunity and leased the Liberty in 2008; the property was a natural location given Seattle’s deep musical history and the building’s proximity to Seattle’s most prominent tourist location. The building underwent a strenuous $6MM renovation while seeking LEED Silver certification. Completed in 2009, the remodeled building now includes a 450-seat restaurant, live concert venue, rooftop deck, Rock N’ Roll memorabilia shop, as well as artifacts from Seattle’s legendary music scene.

The property was sold in 2016.
